The indoors gymnasium is located in the district of Kladisos river in Nea Hora, in a distance of two kilometers from the centre of the town of Chania and was completed in 2004.

It is a contemporary and functional training place with a capacity of 2500 seated spectators and representatives of the media(2000 fixed seats and 500 folding ones).

It includes a main room for athletic games with measurements 50x30x10m in height.Also, there is a room for weight lifting training, locker rooms(six for the athletes,two for the coaches and one for the referees).Moreover,there are two special rooms for physiotherapy and sauna administrative offices,a canteen,WC(for the public and the disabled).The gymnasium also has air conditioning cleating cooling), electronic boards ,24’’ screens, microphone installment, VIP room,room for the media, first aid and facilities and spacious parking lot.

The sports which can be hosted for training and games are

• Volleyball
• Handball
• Weight lifting

The management of the indoors gymnasium belongs to the municipality of chania.The gymnasium is granted for the training and preparation of teams on the following sports Basketball,Volleyball,handball and weight lifting.For its grant an application to the competent deputy Mayor is reguired.

Working hours of the gymnasium 08.00 – 23.00(Monday-Friday)
